The End of the Present World

I have had this book....The End of the Present World on my "to read" list for awhile so imagine my surprise while reading the preface that Father Donald Kinney, a Carmelite Priest had a copy of this book (after searching for seven years) written in the original French language which was used to translate into english. Many in my OCDS community know him well and talk of him very fondly. I've met him a few times and was excited to see his name in this book!

Hi, Julia,

Thanks for stopping over at Spirit Singing. I do write all of my meditations, unless otherwise noted and credit given to the proper source. I actually wrote about St. Elijah last year, and reposted it this year.

I have made the DeMontfort consecration. I made it before I became a Carmelite. It fits very well with our devotion to Our Lady and Carmelite spirituality. As St. Louis de Montfort says, Our Lady is the quickest way to heaven!

Please let me know if I can help you in any way with encouragement to make the Total Consecration to Mary.

I have been wanting to read the book you posted about today. After all, St. Therese said it made a great impact on her life.
